Programme for CNAP Round Table Discussion, December 4, 2019

Dear CNAP member,
We are delighted to present to you the programme for the next round table discussion, which will take place on December 4, 2019 at 12:30 - 15:30, FRB 7D/2.106.

Programme

12.30 Short introduction

12.35 Group work – preparation of presentations (20 min. incl. discussion) plus discussions

  1. A presentation of the chosen paper. Please prepare a presentation on the general content of the paper (structure, methods, why is this paper good/bad etc.) and how well the model works
  2. A discussion of the paper selected by one of the other groups

13.30 Presentations by the groups:

  1. Group 2: Ahmad Rujoie (new PhD fellow), Ali Asghar Zarei, Dennis Boye Larsen, Mauricio Henrich, Suzan Meijs. Reitz et al 2016: A comparative behavioural study of mechanical hypersensitivity in 2 pain models in rats and humans.
    Will also prepare for a discussion of the paper selected by group 3
  2. Group 3: Aida Hejlskov Poulsen, Daniele Riccio, Jenny Tigerholm, Maria Carla Gerra, Sebastian Kold. Yang et al 2016: Dependence of Nociceptive Detection Thresholdson Physiological Parameters and Capsaicin-Induced Neuroplasticity: A Computational Study.
    Will also prepare for a discussion of the paper selected by group 4
  3. Group 1: Ana Maria Zamorano-Andrés, Federico Arguissain, Hiroai Okutani, Luisina Gregoret, Najah Alhajri, Priscilla Wittkopff (new postdoc), Taha Janjua. Lötsch et al 2015: Pattern of neuropathic pain induced by topical capsaicin application in healthy subjects.
    Will also prepare for a discussion of the paper selected by group 2
  4. Group 4: Armita Faghani, Felipe R. Andreis, Juan M. Völker, Lea Tøttrup, Marco Rizzo, Rocco Giordano. Price et al 2017: Characterization of a novel capsaicin/heat ongoing pain model.
    Will also prepare for a discussion of the paper selected by group 1
