Programme for CNAP Round Table Discussion, October 21, 2020


Dear CNAP member,

We are delighted to present to you the programme for the next round table discussion, which will take place on October 21, 2020 at 12:30 - 15:30, Frb. 7A/4.108.

Please remember to follow Department procedures regarding corona virus by keeping a safe distance in the seminar room.

12.30 Short introduction by Laura Petrini to the topic “pain/somatosensory illusions”

12.40 Group work – preparation of presentations (15 min. incl. discussion) plus discussions

  1. A presentation of the chosen paper including a demonstration. Thus, you are not expected to prepare the presentation beforehand. Please prepare a presentation on the general content of the paper (structure, methods, why is this paper good/bad etc.)
  2. Finalise the pain and/or sensory illusion demonstration
  3. A reflection question to the chosen paper that will be discussed in small groups after your presentation
  4. A discussion of the paper selected by one of the other groups (according to the group scheme)

    Reinersmann et al 2013: The rubber hand illusion in complex regional pain syndrome
    - Group A will also prepare for a discussion of this paper
     
  3. Group C: Ali Asghar Zarei, Dennis Boye Larsen, Line E. Lykholt, Luisina Gregoret, Rocco Giordano, Silvia Lo Vecchio, Taha Janjua
    Fardo et al 2018: Organization of the Thermal Grill Illusion by Spinal Segments
    - Group B will also prepare for a discussion of this paper
     
  4. Group D: Armita F. Jadidi, Ahmad Rujoie, Giulia E. Aliotta, Hiroai Okutani, Jenny Tigerholm, Najah Alhajri, Suzan Meijs
    Dunn et al 2017: Why does a cooled object feel heavier? Psychophysical investigations into the Weber’s Phenomenon (NB Comment from the group: The classical paper is in German. This paper is based on the same principle and digs a little deeper)
    - Group C will also prepare for a discussion of this paper
